Overview
Yesterday is designed to work without an account and without cloud sync in the current version. Your memory entries are stored locally on your Android device.
What the app stores
- Your daily memory entries
- Your notification preferences, theme choice, and text size settings
- Local premium unlock state and related app preferences
- App usage counters used for in-app review timing
What the app does not do
- It does not require you to create an account.
- It does not upload your archive to a Yesterday server.
- It does not sell your entries or personal writing.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, Yesterday can schedule local reminder notifications on your device. These reminders are used only to prompt your daily memory habit.
Payments
Premium purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. Yesterday does not receive or store your payment card details. Google may process billing information according to its own terms and privacy policies.
Export and sharing
If you choose to export or share content, the app will only prepare the data you explicitly selected for sharing. Where that content goes next depends on the app or service you choose from the Android share sheet.
